Key Stat:  Host of the largest Canadian nuclear generating station at Bruce Power as well as 20 companies in the nuclear supply chain.  30% of Ontario's electricity is generated locally. Pledge:  I support environmentally appropriate development and expansion of the energy industry. We have world class, cutting edge industrial technology right in our community.  As the proud host community of Bruce Power and the related nuclear supply chain, we have to be ready and able to communicate the value and importance of the nuclear industry locally, nationally, and internationally.  This involves strong relationships, an understanding of complex regulatory processes and the ability to work collaboratively with industry partners.  As part of the energy mix, we also have to have a voice for the inclusion of renewable energy sources.  Environmentally appropriate development and expansion of the energy industry fits well with the vision of a prosperous, responsible and forward-thinking community.

Key Stat: Fourteen new businesses opened in 2026Pledge: Continue working with and supporting the Kincardine BIA, Chamber of Commerce and small businesses to provide ideal retail, food and customer service experiences.We have vibrant downtowns.  Home to many diverse retail outlets, a host to multiple community festivals and events, and a sought after retreat for visitors and residents alike, our downtowns provide social and retail meeting places, services, and are tourism destinations that, all together, make our lives more enjoyable and complete.  I am thrilled at the beautiful colours offered by the planters in our downtowns and the pride that residents take in their main streets.  Support and encouragement of businesses in the Municipality is a necessary function of any local council and I would continue to support them.

Key Stat: 262 farms. 65,000 acres. $100 million in sales.Pledge: Include agricultural sector in grants and support the growth of “farm to table” and roadside retail outlets.We have a growing agricultural industry.   Throughout the Municipality, we have progressive, and varied, agricultural interests.  Whether involved as the producer of an agricultural commodity or as a processor or retailer of agricultural products, the food industry is crucial to our local economy and requires targeted investment and support from the Municipality.

Key Stat:  The Municipality receives 10 - 20 serious inquires a year from commercial / retail businesses Pledge:  Work with current private landowners to move ahead with development and support the demonstrated demand for business growth and new commercial opportunities There is significant potential for retail and employment expansion along our highway corridor. Bringing these opportunities to fruition may require continued collaboration with private landowners or some more creative and self-directed measures.  There is plenty of interest in building and developing in our Municipality and the right economic development approach will improve both the public and private sector's ability to respond to the steady stream of inquiries.

Key Stat:  $90 million industry in the Municipality of KincardinePledge: Develop a focused plan to preserve the small town, welcoming character Our lakeshore, combined with our variety of festivals and events makes the Municipality a highly sought after tourism destination, bringing both economic benefits and administrative challenges.  Preserving our small town, welcoming character in the face of increasing pressure to accommodate growing numbers of people demands a focused plan from council and continuous monitoring to ensure we find the right balance.
